Amazon.com recently declared the City of Virginia Beach as the most patriotic & here’s why –
“Residents in Virginia Beach ordered more America-themed flags from the company’s Patio, Lawn & Garden Store between Jan.1 and June 24, per capita, in cities with more than 400,000 residents, according to the company. “
Amazon.com further states that residents of City of Virginia Beach ordered more flags per capita than Miami, Florida and Washington D.C., which stood second and third, respectively.

We think the data shared by amazon.com is interesting, but we already knew how patriotic our home city is, as a home to several military bases with a large population of military and civilian support personnel. Each year, Virginia Beach hosts “The Patriotic Festival—A Military Celebration to honor our armed forces personnel and their families.” It includes military display & demos and a three day Oceanfront Air Show featuring jaw dropping performance from the very talented The Red Bull Air Force Sky Divers. So we knew that the feeling of patriotism for City of Virginia Beach is not limited to ordering flags on Amazon.com – but we’re happy to have that distinction too!
